Just had to go back and see the irises in the sunshine.
​What a lovely day after last night's thunderstorm.
​

The old walls along the road to Nipozzano collapsed last autumn.  They been rebuilt and planted with irises.  They are all out right now. 

Just been up the Bell Tower in Florence with my nephew.
​It has to the be the very best view. 
It even beats the view from the Duomo because (derh!) you can see the Dome from the Bell Tower!

The cascading rosemary is in flower!

   I have spotted the first violets.  It doesn't mean we have quite finished with winter yet, but the days are definitely getting longer.
