Borgo di Sopra is reached by a 1km farm road. The road surface is loose stone and not tarmac. The majority of guests arrive in small hire cars without any problem. Ask us for more information if you are concerned.

Pontassieve (3km) : Banks, shopping and a weekly street market. Regular train service to central Florence (journey time 20-25 minutes).

Pelago (6km) : Scenic local town with attractive piazza, restaurant, annual 'On the Road' festival.

The Castle of NIpozzano : an enjoyable 15 minute uphill walk or 6 minutes' drive. Cellar visits and wine tasting by appointment.

The Mall Designer Outlet (12km) : discounted items from Gucci, YSL, Tods, Armani Jeans, Ferragamo. The Prada Outlet at Montevarchi is 40 km away.

Florence (20km) : easily accessible by road or rail, but we recommend using the train to avoid the headaches of parking in the centre of town.
